What the committee does
Each committee role helps the business club to function and run smoothly. Each role has different areas of responsibility which you can read about below.
Chair
The Chair is responsible for overseeing the entire club, and chairing each weekly meeting.
Vice Chair
The Vice Chair is responsible for acting when the chair is unable or stepping in to run the meetings when the chair is away. The Vice Chair then goes on to become the Chair in their second year of service.
Secretary
The secretary is responsible for taking minutes in the meeting, and collating attendees / apologies for each week, liaising with the venue and keeping attendance records.
Treasurer
The treaurer is responsible for overseeing the club finances and approving expenditure with the rest of the committee. They also prepare our end of year accounts and reports.
Membership Secrtary
The membership secretary is responsible to responding to any new member or visitor enquiries and following up with guests. They also ensure membership fees are paid each month.
Meeting Coordinator
The meeting coordinator is responsible for planning each weekly meeting in terms of a guest speaker, member presentation, or group topic for discussion.
Social Secretary
The social secretary organises the various social events throughout the year, outside of the normal weekly meetings, including the Christmas party and helping lead the team for the charity quiz.
