There's no franchise and nobody's paid. These are the members who give up a bit of their time each year to keep the club running smoothly.

Who does what

What each role involves

Each role looks after one part of the club, and one member can hold more than one. The full details are in the club rules.

Chair: Looks after the running of the whole club and chairs each Friday meeting.
Vice Chair: Steps in when the chair is away and helps the rest of the committee. The vice chair becomes chair the following year.
Secretary: Takes the minutes, keeps attendance records and apologies, and liaises with the venue.
Treasurer: Keeps an independent eye on the club's money and helps produce the accounts for the AGM.
Membership Secretary: Answers enquiries from visitors and new members, follows up with guests, and makes sure membership fees come in each month.
Meeting Coordinator: Plans each Friday's main slot, whether that's a guest speaker, a member talk or a group discussion.
Social Secretary: Organises the socials outside Friday meetings, including the Christmas do, and helps lead the team behind the charity quiz.
