I was recently asked to help a couple who wanted to move to Devon so that they could be near their family.
The two main requirements were that it had to be close to a Golf Club and have a view. After contacting all the agents a redesigned house came on the market in Sidmouth which met all the requirements. Unfortunately we couldn’t secure this one so the search continued.
Another couple of weeks passed and then a splendid individual detached house with a contemporary finish and this wonderful view came for sale in Shaldon. The location was perfect for Teignmouth Golf Club and getting to the family. The agents had a full weekend of viewings and decided that due to the considerable interest they would ask for best and final offers.
Deciding what to offer is never easy but after chatting it through with my clients we decided on a price which we felt reflected their ability to proceed quickly and the property’s fantastic location. The offer was duly submitted with a decision promised the next morning. After an anxious night my clients had the phone call in the morning from the agents, they were happy. The property was theirs.
5 weeks later the removal men turned up, my clients moved in and are extremely happy.
